Extension of the NePa Test emulator with link-layer simulation

The NePa Test network emulator is a composition of various tools to perform emulation of community networks, with state-of-the-art assumptions on the underlying network. It can read or produce synthetic topologies, and run real code to be tested, in order to produce results that can be directly ported to real world applications.

Currently, it lacks any assumption on the layer-2 features of the network, which could be emulated using external tools such as the NS-3 network simulator. The thesis consists in integrating the support for link-layer simulation in NePa Test, and test its performance in order to perform simulations on large scale real network scenarios.
